This was such a fun project and very exciting for Kat, starting up her own functional nutrition business. I love her story and the reason she decided to train as a nutritionist, and that she wanted to present her real self with images of her working in her own environment, and with her family. It was a real pleasure meeting and photographing all her family, and making these images for her website and social media channels.
The brief:
“The reason I got into Functional Nutrition is my own health journey - I have had MS for nearly 18 years and a holistic approach and now specifically the functional nutrition is what I use to stay healthy, so I really want to capture and convey a passion for nourishing food and a joy in life that includes being active with my family - I want to inspire others (whether or not they are affected by a chronic disease) to believe that they can also feel great. A key part of functional nutrition is obviously food, I’ll need images in my kitchen and with food and to show that part of what I do is hands on i.e. I use a massage table and palpate different points on the body. I want these so it's clear that it's a fully clothed/non-invasive assessment.Then my family are a huge part of my life so I would love some natural (non-portrait) pics that show us engaging and playing.
