Big Little Sponsorship Event at Arakura School, Wainuiomata
AA Insurance recently announced the two winners of their fourth ‘Big Little Sponsorship’ sports grant. I was fortunate to join in on and photograph the celebrations at Arakura Primary School’s reveal party. They won the North Island prize; a whopping $10,000 grant, as part of the 2023 AAI Big Little Sponsorship.
It is always a pleasure to be involved in any community event, and especially where kids are involved. It was truly heartwarming to see how Arakura school creates an inclusive teaching/learning environment and champions the importance of providing a wide range of sensory experiences for their students. I believe this is one of the areas where the school will be able to make great use of the grant.
The team at AA Insurance, along with Keven Mealamu and Nick Saunter (CEO of Eden Park) surprised the school with an epic reveal party they won’t forget!

“We are looking to have someone come along to our surprise reveal party in Lower Hutt to capture the announcement and excitement of the day. The school will welcome us with a Mihi whakatau, then we'll move into an assembly to tell them the exciting news (only the principal and a few staff members know), Keven Mealamu and Nick Saunter (Eden Park CEO) will also say a few words before we move into some sports activities for the kids, have a photo station set up and a morning tea provided by local caterers. Photos will be used on our social media, website and LinkedIn.
