The day I met Rosie… The gorgeous family staffy, who changed my own family’s life for ever!
Being a huge champion of documentary style family photos I often meet people in their own homes when we start a session to capture the natural interactions and candid moments we all love. Back in March, I turned up at Vaughan and Jennifer’s beautiful home in Lower Hutt to meet and photograph their lovely family.
As I approached the front door and knocked, I could hear a four legged friend getting ready to greet me. The door opened to reveal a cute as energetic bundle - Rosie, their adorable Staffordshire bull terrier! With her tail wagging and bright eyes, she greeted me with the enthusiasm only a dog can. My heart melted, and I might have even squealed a little!
My own family had been considering getting a staffy ourselves for a while now, and meeting this little gem only strengthened my resolve to start the search for real, instead of talking about it!
About ten days after this photo session, we met this guy - Sid… Another month later, we brought him home. 🧡
